 A Tree Full of Fruits

This is about my grandpa or Dadon as I call him is a very interesting person.

I’ve spent a lot of time in my Childhood with him and didn't really realize why I liked spending so much time with him. But now that I think of it he would tell me some eye opening stories or eye opening facts about the world or something from his childhood.

I have many a times been inspired by these stories and even some of my actions till now reflect much of these words. He could recite exact words from poems of his childhood and different points from the Bhagavad Gita or the Quran. What surprises me is he didnt read them a night ago or a week ago. He had read those books years ago. He definitely had a really good memory. And then there is me who can’t even remember what  I had for breakfast the same morning. But anyways his stories definitely inspired me but the way he lived his life inspired me even more. He is around 85 now and still goes out for walks in the morning and studies a lot. We went to Thailand a few years ago. He had an open mindset in everything and had the enthusiasm of a child to explore everything. He never said no to visiting a new place or trying out a new kind of food or a new cuisine. I’d also like to mention his mental strength. He’s definitely physically strong. But his mental strength … Nothing can be compared to it. He was just a good old 3rd world immigrant but the way he built his life , couldn’t have done without unbreakable mental strength. Coming to think of it , he must’ve been super hardworking. It’s my last year in school so I don’t really get much time to visit him or neither does he visit me because he stays PHYSICALLY ill most of the time. But we keep each other in our hearts. I know that he won’t be with us forever but till the end of me,his teachings will live through me and I’m sure it’ll live with many others.
